Default Eaton E-locker vs Auburn Ected locker

Ok guys ive decided im gonna ground up build a xj dana 44 and a new dana 30 for my rig. Will be re-gearing both axles and i want to put electronic selectable lockers in them while im at it. Trusses custom brackets, the works.

However, i cant decide between the two brand and i havnt been able go find any reviews of them. So if anybody has one chime in or if anybody has some knowledge to drop lemme know which i should choose.

Thanks guys.

Eaton makes both. The E-locker is a true locker, so definitely better. The Auburn is a LSD. Similar but once again the E-locker is better.

The ECTED Max "locks" by applying pressure to one side-gear that compresses the clutchpack.....and clutch packs wear out and they can and do slip.

Eaton E-lockers are true mechanical lockers that are activated by an electro-magnet. I sell them because they flat out work. I've been running them front and rear since '08 without any issues what so ever.

And because someone always asks...
Sadly there is not an E-Locker for the Chrysler 8.25" rear axle.

Ected lockers ****ing suck. They wear out quickly and stop locking. I strongly advise against one.

FrankZ, can you talk a little about the problems with the early ('08ish?) D60 Eaton units?
Was there a redesign, or what ever happened? I've read some lackluster threads about it, none had any real solid info though.
Thanks,
Ben

I've only heard tidbits of info about it so I really can't provide a lot of valuable info about the early D60 E-Lockers. From what I did read/hear, the hardcore buggy drivers were having problems with them.

From back in 2007:

Seems that the redesigned locker is doing well though.
