Me:
1996 XJ
K&N Intake
TB bored out a little
2.5 pipes.

Next step:
New injectors, fix vacuum leaks.

Summer project:
Pull the rest of the turbo parts together.

Match porting works well. Match the intake manifold to the gasket and the head to the intake gasket.

Just for those who stumble on here. 99-04 have exact same intake manifold. Not sure on 05-06 though, I haven't seen it personally so I cannot confirm.

Thats how its been with every one of my engine modifications. 99+ intake is the only one I haven't done, but I don't really care at this point. I don't think it will make any noticeable difference.

I was told that the older-style intakes were better suited for turbo purposes, i think the responder had said something about either the size or more even distribution, even though the pathway seems far less fluid than later models, I suppose with the compressed air it all evens out. Also for that interesting individual throttlebody setup previously pointed out (back in 2012) anyone know if there's any still being made or possibly found now? or will it all be self-fabrication work from here on out?

Damn that is nice and looks like an Edelbrock alum head on it also, with a lot of port/flow work done I bet.

FYI, here's an in-depth article for a 2k manifold swap on a '93 4.0 GC.
