Also take into account the type of driving you do. If you live in an area that has a lot of hills/mountains, you would benefit from having a bit more power. You're transmission will thank you for not making it downshift so much. If it's more flat, I'd gear it for a factory-like rpm range.

Richmond, Yukon, USA standard, G2, etc. Most name brands are going to make a quality gear set. I have 0 experience with Rough Country and I do not know who is making their gears for them so that brand wouldn't make my list right now.

I have ran Motive gears for many years in race cars dirt track and drag cars up to about 1500HP using a trans brake. I bought them for my XJ when I found a very good price on a set (Chy 8.25/D30 pkg. with master install kits) high quality master install kits, from Rustys Off Road for under $500 for the set of 4.56's.

i think rustys still offers a similar price on that kit? so far its the best deal yet if you guys trust the gears they sell.
