Yeah but why would I cheat myself of the brakes that I could have. I do need to buy all 4 calipers tho. And I'm about to start this **** show with 2 or 3 40" mt2s. I wanted swampers but these tires are supposed to actually last on the street and have a 40k warranty. An irok or tsl I'd get line 15k out of.

OP, look up a member here named freegdr. His is lifted 14" on 40" Ground Hawgs and is his DD. He can give you the ups and downs associated with this along with what mods were needed to build it safely (He was a mechanic for years like myself)

I had to grind less than 1/8" to clear my 15s and if I ran 2" backspacing like most you don't grind any. I ran ford twin pistons for years, yes mine's a D44 but uses the exact same caliper as a D60 and same size rotors. I swapped to chevy 3/4 ton calipers because the ford ones just plain sucked. The chevys stop me much better and the area I ground down was 3/4" thick so I doubt the 1/8" I took off made any difference. That being said I'd love to run some fancy 17" wheels but I'm poor and on a budget and had my 38s basically given to me.

If you want to run 15 inch rims https://lugnut4x4.com/product/dana-6...onversion-kit/ But before you spend anything look in tires you like in the size you want for 15s 16s and 17s see what option is cheaper for you.

What year vehicle did the axles come out of. Mid 90s and older you can get backing plates to run mid 70-80s 3/4 ton calipers but the later models you'll be running at least 17s due to rotor size. And if they are out of a 99 and up you have a metric bolt pattern so you have to watch what wheels you get.

You're pretty much stuck with stock calipers but that's not a bad thing since they are quite large and work quite well unlike the older ones. Are you sure you have a D60 front? Most F250s from 99 to the early 2000s had a D50 front, the F350s had a D60.

Yes it's for sure a 60. They switch in early 02 and mines from 04 and I have the gears that came for it which its 60. But I can't find new calipers really anywhere online. Can anyone find some on eBay or something?

Any parts store will have them the problem comes with needing cores and that's the case with most online stores as well. Most parts stores don't care what your cores are off of. I used a set off an old mustang that is rusting on my property to get my current ones.
