Wrote the wrong way when I said I dont want bump stops. I have bump stops and after reading other threads about similar accounts almost everyone said just put bigger bump stops, thats what I dont want to do. I have bump stops front and back but I and hitting my fenders in the front enough to cause more damage to tires than wanted. I found that you can raise bushwackers an inch above stock fender mounts which means to me I cut an inch out of my fender. My question I should had stated more clearly is can I go higher than specified by bushwacker?

As far as this response / quote; this is fabrication hint the part about cutting the fender and modifying it, this means fabricating the fender granted I am not making a new one, just modifying

In the front, very likely. The rear may be difficult.
I have the flat flares, they use a couple of the existing holes to locate the flares during installation. They may need some adjustment if you install them higher, and the flare will not line up with the body lines.

There is plenty of room behind both fenders to relocate them higher. The fronts you can cut a mile out and mount them wherever. The rear you can only cut so much but you can mount the flares so that the bolts go to the inside of the rear hatch area.

That's what I was thinking too. But I just went and looked at mine and realized they are shaped around the body line above the rocker. Might have to get creative, but should be able to fill in the gap.

Don't forget also that the mounts for the factory fender flares stick out front the body a bit so you will need to put some kind of spacer in there when you move them up.

I'm sure they specify for a reason so while you could I'm sure they won't fit right.
