Default Custom4x4 fab bumper

Hey new here, just bought my first XJ! Is anyone running one of their bumpers? Thinking of getting this one and would like some input on the quality. Thanks in advance!

They say nothing about frame tie ins on their page so I would contact them to make sure they have them. I wouldn't suggest buying a bumper without tie ins. Got both my front and rear bumpers made for $710 from ares fab with special requests. Could've gotten them cheaper if I didn't get them to add on stuff.

That's a good point, I didn't even consider frame tie ins, I'll have to contact them. I do like their product. Especially their rear quarter panel armor.

Also look at a side shot of it if you can, I know I bought a Jeep with Winch/Bumper on it that I swapped off and kept for later before I fixed and sold that Jeep, When I went to use it, I HATED IT, So I drilled 2 new holes in it and was able to use the rest of the existing and moved it back about 2" - still not completely happy but its ok until I can build something new and almost hidden and give this one to to my daughter for her XJ

This bumper sucks, but making the best of it, price was right - FREE

Welcome to the forum!

There are so many different bumpers out there have a look around for a while taking them all in lol.

They run from poor in quality to excellent but its the details that sit them apart, compare them closely before you buy as they are a major purchase and one you hate to make more than once.

Nice MJ, that's what I really wanted but couldn't find one. What bumper is that?

I went with front winch and rear tire carrier bumpers from Nate's. Got a 10% discount for being a member here.

You like what you like, but from my perspective this bumper is an asthetic and functional train wreck. All the bolt-on stuff in front of the grill, headlights and that silly bar that sticks up above the front of the hood will wipe those components out the first time you whack anything solid. Let form follow function, especially on such a functional item as a front winch bumper.

I would take this bumper http://www.dirtboundoffroad.com/extr...erokee-xj.html over the one you posted.
