Default Pioneer deck blowing fuse....

My Pioneer had been blowing a fuse and I have taken it out now. Taking it out fixed a bigger problem I was having so I don't want to just put it back in, and I don't have a FSM to see if it is wired in with anything else that would make that fuse blow. My question is, can I run a new wire for power, bypassing the wire that is there for it, and going straight to the battery, without screwing anything up or it constantly staying on? I don't know a large amount about the audio part of vehicles, so I hope this doesn't sound like a dumb question. I dont know how much long I can drive to just the sound of wind

You can run a wire from the deck to the fuse box down by your pedals and patch it in to a ignition hot down there but honestly, if your going to do the work you may as well chase down the problem and fix it right. Make sure your ground is connected right and that it is actually grounded. A multimeter will really come in handy for this.
