First of all, you will need to remove the shifter to be able to drill the additional 3/8" hole needed to bolt on the tab. Bolt on the tab using the existing hole in the shift tab and drill using the tab as a locator. The tab is designed so it can be mounted in several different ways. It may be best to simply play around with the positions to find out what works best for you.
Here are the possible positions:
Just let me know if you have any other questions!

Been meaning to post here, finally got mine on while finishing up my lift. Can definitely feel the crisp lock in of shifting, which is great since my indicator light likes to stop working when wet. Took a little bit of fine tuning, but having my half in the bag neighbor hold the shifter was easy enough to get the length right. I did have to put two washers on each end, not for clearance, but the hole the old plastic bushing was in was sucking the joint in and i couldnt get a wrench on to tighten it up because just enough was sitting in the hole. Other than that it worked flawlessly. Also i left the pivot point from the stock linkage in, as i had no desire to pull up carpet to get to the bolts lol

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you like it! Our gen 2 kits now include a washer to space out the rod end.

My floor shifter is damaged in my rig.
I have the 231 + ax15.
I already purchased your kit for the 231 + ax15.
If i find a used 242 floor shift box with the lever will this work for me without drilling holes in the 242 shift lever or will this even work at all?
Thanks!
