Default best aftermarket exhaust?

I am looking at getting a new exhaust system for my 99 xj classic. I don't want it to sound dumb. I just wanna beef it up a little bit. Any recommendations? What have yall had experience with?

Had a Flowmaster, everybody under 30 that rode in the Jeep liked it. Me I hated the rumble and drone, and scaring off all wild life within a mile of whatever trail I was on. have since gone back to stock from cat back.. Still do have the aftermarket header, no Idea the MFG.

I love my flow master. Came with the jeep (1998 classic) and sounds great.

I like my magnaflow. Makes some noise around town and when you put your foot down, yet still pretty quiet on the freeway.

If the exhaust is "beefed up" it will inevitably sound "dumb". Put your dollars in legal MP3s instead, entertain yourself versus other drivers.

I have a flowmaster 44, dropped out before the rear axle. Get asked a lot if I did a v8 swap. Very throaty exhaust.

I prefer a more mild exhaust. I like the sound of the flow master 50 over the 40/44. Magnaflow sounds good if you do headers, HF cat, tailpipe and the whole 9 yards, but almost sounds ricey without all of it IMO
