axle swapping to rockjock D60, couple questoins for the pros!
So my new RJ D60 came in today and I had a few questions, to start with here is my axle: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Drivetrai...%2F2XJRJR456DL
Now will it just be as simple as unbolt my CryCo 8.25 and bolt on the D60 since it is an XJ D60? That was the impression I had, but 4wheel parts told me that some welding will be required, is this true? I have tried googling this and nothing comes up.
Also, how long am I looking at spending to do both this axle swap and install an Advance Adapters SYE?
Thanks!

yeah looks like spring perches and shock mounts. so basically everything that normally gets welded to a leaf spring rear axle will need to be welded still

yup, that's so you can set your pinion angle.
seriously, you bought this? what are you using for the front?
hope it's not the d30...
btw, nice score.

Okay, okay. I have to pick it up yet and line up my friend to weld it for me but I'll take pics of the process and start a build thread!
I'm glad everyone is as excited about my new axle as I am, I shattered the u-joint yoke on both my rear DS and axle so I decided rather than just replace my yokes I'd upgrade the axle and DS and it made sense to add my SYE when I order the new DS.
This weekend I have too much to do already but have next week I have off so I'll get to work on it then. I have to install my axle and SYE then measure the distance for my Tom Woods CV DS
