The header for 87-98 cherokees? I had that on my old jeep and liked it. Fitment was fairly easy, but the down pipe will not line up with your cat.

Besides the misfit piping, I loved it. I had all new exhaust put on it anyways. It really freed up the throttle response and low end grunt over the stock, broken manifold.

Just make sure whether it comes with regular paint or high temp paint. Mine came with regular paint, but it sandblasted right off. I repainted it with some rustoleum grill paint and that stayed on except between the ports and the collectors.

Figured I would let people know about this if they don't know yet but it seems Crown is now making a knock off Banks Revolver Header for $349 right now and it looks actually pretty good for a knock off. Eve has the True 2 1/2" Outlet that is great for making a Jeep sound beastly.

Update....

Currently Available at JCWhittney for $265.60 with the MARSAVE15 coupon

Default 1st Jeep Build, need exhaust

I have had this jeep since I was 18 and beginning to rebuild a 96 xj, 2.5l, 4 banger. I am about to buy an entire exhaust system for my first love. Need to treat her right, not going to give up no her for a six cylinder.
1. Anyone know what the best exhaust for a 4 banger? Do not want it sounding like some import. Just want a nice deep rumble like an old car or a motorcycle with straight pipes. The dripping water sound when idling. Something close would be nice
2. Thinking about getting the Iron Rock Offroad package with the upgraded parts. The upgraded parts being magnaflow and flowmaster 40. http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merch...egory_Code=PFX
Thanks in advance for helping build my jeep. Love this forum!

No matter what you do its not going to sound like a muscle car. The 4 banger always sounds like a 4 banger. Raspy and tingy

Obviously, not going to sound like a muscle car. Just wanted some information on what could help. But thank you for your input.

I had one I tried everything on. Ended going back with a quiet muffler but 2.5" pipe. So it could breathe but didn't make Honda's rev at me lol

Im about to buy my first Cherokee, it's an 01 4.0L Auto.

Im already buying parts and stuff for it. I have an extra Borla 2.5" muffler that I will probably use. What model High flow cat can I use? Do I need 1 or 2 on the 2001's?

I will have a custom 2.5" exhaust setup made after all of that.
