hey
i do not know exhausts and definitely cannot install one. I am visiting my brother next week in CHarlotte and found an exhaust place (www.mufflermastersofnc.com) i need a new cat as mine is original and shot. WHole exhaust is original and shot.
He said he works with flomaster and magnaflow. What in your opinion will be better for a daily driver/highway driving. I want performance but i need to be able to talk on my cellphone inside the cabin. i want it to growl
Plz help! I am getting it done tuesday

Ok if you have the money go for magna flow. If u looking for the lower side get a flowmaster 40. Its quite enough so u can talk on your cellphone but loud enough that u know its there..if u want something quiter then that go with a flowmaster 50...a flowmaster 40 will growl and given performance

The magnaflow has a deeper richer aggressive tone and less drone while driving, the flowmaster is more throaty and aggressive sounding and gives off more drone while driving.
Performance gains are near equal

My dynomax catback tip is CRUSHED into my rear shackle. any ideas for some sort of extension or drop... the stock rubber/threaded "loop" is at full extention. I was thinking of maybe putting something between the exhaust clamp and tail pipe to relieve some tension. its on a 99' with 3.5 in springs and 2 in shackles on the bottom ( fully extended) setting.

You could cut off the crushed part and run a turn down on your muffler. It won't get smashed in your shakle...or just dump your exhaust right before the rear axle

If u didn't have that tow hitch I would say try to bend the part over a lil but it might not work because of that...hmmm..it is right on that shakle..from that angle I can't tell
Could u in any way bend that pipe left at all ir no?

Can you remove the tailpipe and take some of that bend out?
My OE type tailpipe had a similar bend and I just cut it before the bend and added an 18" section of pipe. It eliminated the interference with the shackle and got rid of the turndown that seemed to amplify droning.
There really isn't much clearance between the leaf springs and a trailer hitch.
