Most likely not. Even if you properly bumpstop, you're probably still going to rub at the bottom corners of the fenders when you turn lock to lock.

I rubbed on a 3" lift with 31" tires. I'd go with 30" tires or maybe even 235 (29") tires.

Hey guys!!

So I need some advice. Id like go with a bigger tire on my XJ and a little bit higher lift. My XJ right now suspension wise is stock. I have heard that you can swap grand cherokee springs into the XJ to get a little bit of a lift on it. Im not looking to get any crazy height here I just wanna get between a 1-3.5 inch lift. Any help here?

Hey all, just looking for help deciding which lift to go with. I'm stuck between the 4.5" Zone Offroad lift, or the 4.5" Rough Country lift. I'm really leaning towards the Zone lift but just looking to see what everyone has to say.

Zone. For the love of all that is Jeep, don't buy that RC 4.5". It's the worst product sold by a shady company.

Coils are fairly cheap, ~$75 for new ones. You'd have to find a V8 ZJ UpCountry model to get 1.5" of lift, but it also gives you a stiff ride. In my opinion, you're better off buying new (or used) aftermarket lift springs.

There's a lot more to a lift than just shocks. Many people here seem to be happy with their zone lifts. There are many other options as well though. Read around and you will see what you need. Most kits don't come with everything so you'll have to order other stuff too. For example the zone lift doesn't come with a track bar or extended sway bar links or longer bump stops. Even just looking through the last few pages of this thread will probably give you some good insight on what you will need.

The Zone 4 1/2" lift kit I got off e-bay came with new bump stops, brake line extension brackets, new stabilizer links, shocks, full spring and new bushings, shackles, and the directions showed where to drill frame to relocate track bar. I didn't install it but am very happy with it.

I wouldn't relocate the track bar at 4.5" lift. Get a new adjustable one.

Good answer. I don't recommend ever redrilling the track bar.

Update, since the lift install I've driven mine for a few hundred miles of pavement, including some freeway. Although I said I would, I still haven't installed the T-case drop kit. No vibrations at any speed. Drives straight, though the steering wheel is now at about 11:00 while moving straight ahead. It may have been like that before, I don't remember. SYE goes in at the end of the week, I should have the driveshaft by mid next week. Also, I will get it aligned when all is said and done. I'm driving this thing to New England in a few weeks and 3000 miles of freeway will burn up poorly aligned tires.
