No, I don't lick fish.
Most likely not. Even if you properly bumpstop, you're probably still going to rub at the bottom corners of the fenders when you turn lock to lock.

Hey guys!!
So I need some advice. Id like go with a bigger tire on my XJ and a little bit higher lift. My XJ right now suspension wise is stock. I have heard that you can swap grand cherokee springs into the XJ to get a little bit of a lift on it. Im not looking to get any crazy height here I just wanna get between a 1-3.5 inch lift. Any help here?

Hey all, just looking for help deciding which lift to go with. I'm stuck between the 4.5" Zone Offroad lift, or the 4.5" Rough Country lift. I'm really leaning towards the Zone lift but just looking to see what everyone has to say.

Zone. For the love of all that is Jeep, don't buy that RC 4.5". It's the worst product sold by a shady company.
Coils are fairly cheap, ~$75 for new ones. You'd have to find a V8 ZJ UpCountry model to get 1.5" of lift, but it also gives you a stiff ride. In my opinion, you're better off buying new (or used) aftermarket lift springs.

There's a lot more to a lift than just shocks. Many people here seem to be happy with their zone lifts. There are many other options as well though. Read around and you will see what you need. Most kits don't come with everything so you'll have to order other stuff too. For example the zone lift doesn't come with a track bar or extended sway bar links or longer bump stops. Even just looking through the last few pages of this thread will probably give you some good insight on what you will need.

The Zone 4 1/2" lift kit I got off e-bay came with new bump stops, brake line extension brackets, new stabilizer links, shocks, full spring and new bushings, shackles, and the directions showed where to drill frame to relocate track bar. I didn't install it but am very happy with it.

Id imagine so. I just installed some used Rustys LCA on mine with a 3" lift. The centers of each eye were just about 16.25". Works perfect. Also, don't be in a big rush for the alignment. Drive it around for a couple days and let everything settle. Still haven't aligned mine, tracks straight when I let go of the wheel and no uneven wear; good enough for me.
