Anyone else on here ever had the issue of rubbing the tires on the unibody frame rails? Tires are 33x12.5 and wheels are 3.75 back spacing. Very low lift with lots of trimming. Just curious of this is a common issue. I actually rub the unibody rail before I hit the LCA. Solution would be to get it lifted up a little taller or skinnier tires. It's already too wide. But wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue and what they did about it.

1. Limit your turning radius
2. Wider axles
3. Narrower tires
4. Taller suspension

Default 88'xj donor w/6" rusty's lift

I have a 88"xj w/6" Rusty's lift kit. I'm looking for a little newer (91'-97') to swap the lift on to. Any info on what years are compatible with the 88"?

damn unfortunately this is true, I bought the 4" kit for my ZJ. Only parts of it still left on the vehicle are the coil springs & the rear lowers, ditched everything else.

Most of the parts are ok, but the shocks lasted about 6months....

Listen to NewKindofClown he's right, I actually have that kit on my Xj now and the leafs are super short which allowed me to run a sh**** shackle angle (vertical) which equates to a harsh ride. Go with a company that's not so cheap like Clayton, Or BDS if it's too expensive then save save save. I will be ditching my RC and going Clayton and maybe BDS long arms

Zone and Iron Rock are good intermediate companies. In my opinion, the Rubicon Express 4.5" Super Flex kit is the best value on the market, but I would advise upgrading to the double shear trackbar.

Zone 4.5" on the left and RC 4.5" on the right. Mine sits about an 1" higher and the ride is way better. I don't have the heavier bumpers so that probably adds to my height. I drive mine and it's as smooth as can be in a lifted jeep, I ride in my buddies and I have to pickup my fillings after the ride. If he hits a pothole it feels like the axles going to fall off. Just my experience with these two kits. I recommend the zone, I have been very happy. Also the customer service was very good. Good luck.

Default Jeep rides really rough at 70mph

I just purchased a 99 Jeep Cherokee XJ with the 4.0, it currently has a rough country 6.5" lift on, with 32"x11.5 tires, and the thing is just plain sketchy at 70mph.

Whenever i hit a bump, the whole thing wants to travel any which way, this is NOT death wobble, just a matter of moving when hitting a bump. I know lifted jeeps aren't the most comfortable at highway speeds, but this thing seems insane. Since i dont know much about jeeps (only got it yesterday), i was wondering a few questions...

- What should i look at replacing?
- What are some things that wear out faster when lifted?
- Should there be shocks inside my coils?
* See image, you can kind of see how i have a shock on the outside, but theres only the top half of a shock on the inside, assuming because the guy liked the front to flex, and had quick disconnects for stabilizer bar*
- What may be some good upgrades to help the ride quality?
