i know i should be going to a d60 front and back....but at 200$ and bolt on directly i figure its good for the time being....

i was just wondering if the price was good...if so ill jump on it before anyone else does....it is a 2 hour drive to go pick it up....and then 2 hours back....

and other question, is there a conversion for dics brakes for this axle(cherokee 88 d44) and im guessing the bolt pattern is the 5x4.5 like cherokee has?

Why a D60 front and back?

A D44 for $200 isn't a bad price. Check the job on the weld, though.

yes there are ways to put disc brakes on that 44, and yeah, it's stock cherokee wheel bolt pattern, so your wheels will bolt right up.

and yup, good deal. nice to have the shock mounts relocated too.

and as for the shock mount relocation, is that something i have to do? or is it already done and you see it in the pic?

with alloy shafts it will handle the 37's, the D30 wont though, or at least not well(someone will say they do it I am sure)

the shocks are already relocated (raised up) for extra clearance.

This will bolt in without issues. most D44's from an xj go for about 350$ by me.

You said the gears are welded. I would check the quality of those welds.

Lots will argue the DD issue.

I have an ARB locker, so it doesn't matter to me.

oh ok i thaught you guys meant the quality of the welds in the perches or what not...either was i plan to swap out the gears this spring theres usually good deals on 4;10 4;56 and 4;88 gears for d30, d35, and d44 in my area...installed i think i could get both front and back regeared for 600 at most...but thats with some searching for deals on gears....

and i learned how to drive on a 87 chev custom deluxe 1 ton, weld locked in the back and free locks in the front...in the back it had 13 leafs on each side...it was my dads for work and was a tank until i got jack knifed by a school bus running a red....

i love winter driving on locked rear, and i know all about the cornering in the summer...
