Default 4.0 flat-tappet vs. roller vs. hydraulic roller cams

Does anyone have a link to explain in detail and or know the differences between flat-tappet, roller and hydraulic roller cams and what are the pros and cons of each type as it pertains to our Jeep's 4.0? Is one more reliable than the other and or be able to make more power than another?
What kind of cam comes in the '91 and later 4.0's?
I'm building a 4.6 stroker and want to make the most reliable power(idle-5200rpm's) as possible while also trying to stay within a reasonable budget.
Any info or links to get me started would be much help!

Yep. I wouldn't put a roller cam in my rototiller, would you?

Nope, you don't need them unless its a high HP/high RPM motor. Our I6s are Low Rev-High TQ motors designed to make its power down low.

what's your duration? I just got off the phone with them. And what kind of performance did you get out of it? I'm running my 4.6 stroker with a stock can now. No power at high RPM's

Ditch the stock cam and go with something close to the Comp 68-232-4. A dual pattern cam with some help on the exhaust side does our engines good.
