Your front axle is a Dana 30, not the rear. Your rear could be a Dana 35 or Chrysler 8.25. Could also be a Dana 44 depending on what year it is. There are several threads on this forum to help you decipher what rear axle you have. Also, it would help a lot if you gave some specs on your jeep like the year, motor, and transmission.

I have an 89, so also have a non c clip d35. the c clip refers to how the axle is held in place older d35's (like yours and mine) did not use a c clip on the inside of the differential to hold the axle in place, they use bolts on the outside.
as far as if it is locked or not, they did not come from the factory with a locker. But could have a LSD.
Your best bet is to do 2 things, First, go to jeep.com, go to the contact us section, provide your vin# and request a build sheet. This will tell you what it came from the factory with. This will NOT tell you if anything has been done to it since.
second is to use google. your questions have all been asked before, like a bajillion times. There are videos on youtube, etc. Take your time and do some research. People don't like being a broken record, saying the same things over and over again when the information is easily available.
