Hmm, well I would still try a good alignment first. If its not that then you might have a brake caliper that is siezed. Its happened to me before. Then again I beat my rig way harder than a lot of other people offroad, so mine gets a lot of weird things breaking lol

Default jeep conked out

Twice now on the motorway,i have been driving around 60 mph when jeep stopped as if it run out of petrol.Would splutter to life then stop again after a second or two. After about 45 mins sitting, jeep starts and drives again no problems. Anyone have this happen to themselves? ps....regarding my last comment on this forum i found one of the tires is smaller than the other three, thats why steering is off DOH...pps code fault reader says code error po132...its o2 sensor....pps.crank position senor.. im told ..

I dont think it would be a crank position sensor, that tells the computer when to fire the spark plugs. The o2 sensor could be very dirty, but it wouldnt make the engine shut down when hot, then start again after cooling.

My Jeep did this once, it turned out to be inadequte fuel pressure. I changed the fuel pump, and no issues sence then.

At the intake manifold, on the fuel rail, there is a fuel pressure bleed port. It looks like a valve stem on a wheel, and it may have a cap or not. You can try turning they ignition key to run then pressing the bleed port. If fuel just trickles out slowly, you have a fualty fuel pump. Then try pressing the bleed port with the engine running, if it still comes out slowly you definitely have a fualty fuel pump. Whenever you try it though, have a metal can or a rag to catch the fuel. Fuel on a hot exhuast manifold isnt a good idea
If it isnt that then you may have a fualty fuel regulator. I dont know how to test those, sorry. But my Jeep did exactly what youre talking about, and the fuel pump fixed it.
Hope this helps!! if not, then im sorry for waisting your time

Talking any brits about

yup , at least I know Im out here, trouble with this site is there are very few other countries catered for , even though Jeep are quite big over here, yet there seems to be such a difference in fittings etc for our Jeeps, ie the 2.5 VM engine, Im in Kent and have had several XJs with the 2.5 turbo VM engine, though its not a speed machine , it pulls like a train. and the off road capabilities even in standard form are brilliant. back in soggy june this year, the cherokee was the only one getting on and off the camp site, it even pulled everyone off the site on the sunday, the only failure was an ambulance that got called out on an emergency, was told not to enter the site as the ground was so soft, but they insisted on going and sunk to the axles. had to be recovered by winch from the road. the best one was the three landrover owners who from friday to saturday night slagged the jeep, UNTIL they and thier caravans had to be towed off by the jeep. One of them even had the , I would rather push my landrover than drive a jeep sticker in his back window . Up yours matey boy.

I think that'll be your windscreen washer fluid warning.
