Default talking of hen's teeth...!!

Hi all, have a question which I posted on the main forum and got....not a single reply !! My heater core has finally died and, whilst I can live with the foggy windows etc, having a private pool in the footwell is a bit too much It appears they are impossible to get over here and am iffy about going to a scrappy for one...ripping the car apart once will be more than enough for me.So....Ebay USA have them to fit mine but nobody seems to be able to tell me for sure if the lhd version from the USA will be the same as the rhd version from here. The seller in the USA seems to think it will be the same but advises taking mine out and comparing it with the photo...all well and good but means no car for a few weeks.Anybody bought one from the USA and fitted it into their Jeep over here???
Cheers in advance to anyone who can shed some light !!

good question, not too sure if the answer lies in this link or not, been a long day.
See if you can make any sense out of it.

Default Heater core

Thanks for the reply and link !! The parts list on the link is for a 1997/98 model and mine is a 1995....but it does seem that the core is the same for rhd and lhd....so I have hope that if it is the same on the later model, then should be the same on my earlier model......here is hoping !!
Updated with things found on net tonight !!
Core for rhd and lhd are different...I found them for sale on an Australian web site...states for rhd only.
Stop coolant flooding footwell by switching blower to cold !
Lastly, and now I am really confused....coolant will leak on passenger footwell regardless of wether lhd or rhd...just exactly which side of my rhd is the **** heater core located ? !!! The coolant is flooding the floor on the drivers side not the passenger side !!!
Any help appreciated !!

With all of the steering, brakes, and other nonsense on the drivers side(right side) of your jeep I would assume it would be in the passenger(left side). But! since the leak you are grtting is coming into you drivers footwell(left side) that would lead me to believe that the heater core is located on the drives side as well.

If I wasnt away from home right you would be in luck. I have a LHD U.S. spec Cherokee that I shipped over when I moved. I would totally go out and look at what I have and take pics for you. Or we could meet up and compare Jeeps. but sorry man, im stuck out here in the desert right now lol

Default All good fun !!

Cheers Mudman, will have to just live with it for now, have all of the so called summer to deal with it,think it's worth doing as don't particularly want to sell it on.The part is on the Australian spares site, new, but they can keep it at £220 not including shipping !! Have emailed a couple of sellers breaking Jeeps for spares on the off chance they have a half decent one....

Bought a winch bumper, collected it yesterday from TNT depot.
Well heavy solid construction, requires paint/coating excellent price made new and only £20 postage.
If it ever stops raining will get started on cleaning off old bumper and surrounding stuff.
for anyone interested where from etc, click on link and scroll down.
