Definitely post more pics, and better info. People want to know what kind of lift is on it. Good pics of the wheels and tires is important. Also a lot of pics of the interior helps as well. Take the word CHEAP out of the title, and be more open to negotiation. Honestly I would value your jeep somewhere between 2500 and 3k just by looking at the ad. If you want more money, you need to make the ad look really good and post more details about it. Just sayin...

My 2 cents.. Your price is too high for the miles and unknown condition. People see a missing door panel and shifter console but no mention of this in the ad? People are going to wonder what else is wrong with it. Any rust? Need better/more pics, better/honest description, and a more reasonable price.

IMHO - I think your ad sucks and you're asking too much. selling xjs isn't terribly difficult, they are quite popular. problem with that is there are at least 5 others on CL for comparison at any given time. obviously something isn't jiving.

As someone who has been jeep shopping on craigslist and everywhere else for a couple of months now, I would of opened your ad and closed it just as fast. Clean XJ's are getting harder and harder to find. People from the north will look for your ad and even travel to you, but you have to give as much info as possible. And that mileage is what makes it an even harder sell.

Selling an XJ ain't hard!
Having just gone through the process of buying one, where you advertise, as well as HOW you advertise is CRITICAL. Craigslist is KING. And post it a couple cities away. (I almost drove to Amarillo to buy one.) I passed on TONS because they didn't have pictures, they had 1 or two crappy fuzzy pictures, they didn't list the pros AND the cons, and the people selling them didn't sound like they knew XJ's.
The other issue is people selling XJ's who expect to get out what they put into it. I passed on plenty of very well built rigs because basically I could build one for the same cost. If I'm going to drop that kind of money, then I want it EXACTLY they way I want it.
And to be honest, engine condition is CRITICAL. You have to list mileage and any rebuild(s). If there is any doubt about the engine condition, forget about it. I almost pulled the trigger on a couple based SOLELY on recent engine rebuilds.
I finally settled on a 190,xxx mile 2001 half built with 6.5" Rubicon Express lift, 5 35" tires with full tread + beadlockers on all 5 rims and a swing-away rear bumper. The thing was IMMACULATE (I would have eaten dinner off the engine and engine compartment), the guy used to be a mechanic, and he made sure to tell me all the little things that weren't quite right (e.g. I knew when I bought it that I needed to do the oil pan seal).

xj prices are highly dependent on geography. You can't get one in any condition for less than $3000 here, but up north they max out at $2500.

I think XJs are hard to sell because most of the buyers I've met with always want a rust free, dent free,no leak, low mileage, unabused jeep for dirt cheap. I live in Chicago and rust free XJs are almost impossible to to find. This morning my brother showed his 1997 XJ for sale to another jeep owner that was looking to buy it. My brothers XJ is all stock,187k,rear is sagging, and front end frame damage. The guy didn't even bother offering a price. Bro wants $1300 obo. I guess he wanted a perfect condition jeep for under $1500. I guess a lot of buyers are also very picky about rust, miles and condition. Guy walked away because it had a tiny leak on the metal tube that comes out the water pump into the hose. It was loose since it was replaced two months ago.
