Why do parts stores suck?
So, I order my timing chain this am. Guy says we will have it here by 5:00 today. Go up to the parts store at 5:30, "other" guy says, oh yeah, it must not have made the cut off time. Are you freaking kidding me? I'm going up there tomorrow and ripping someone a new a$$. IDIOTS!
: furious:
Smilies just can't express how pissed off I am!

Go back to the store and tell them why you will not be buying from them anymore. You have to do this sometimes, or they will never get it. Then, buy it online, use an online coupon if possible, buy enough stuff for free shipping. I get free "ground freight" shipping delivered to my door or my office in 2 days.

Can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed in parts ordering. But it is the way of the world. It happens. Have a cocktail and tackle it tomorrow.

That's what happens when you pay someone $7 ph. 90% of the people in there don't know how to change there own oil that's why they took a job making $7 ph. Same with 50% of people at a tire lube shop. So get your jeep fixed by tards or buy parts from them? I would rather buy the parts that way if there wrong I can tell as someone else might not. Ya lost a trans to Louis Tire Shop in Burlington WI. It was my DD they took off the external trans filter thinking it was the oil filter and never put more trans fluid in. They denied everything. So i use it as an RTI ramp I got picks of it.

lol ive been on both sides of this arguement, i work at a parts store. ive been the customer before thinking, "this parts guy is an idiot". ive also been the parts guy going, "this customers an idiot". i have also been the parts guy going, "my other employees are idiots" lol.
to the original poster, i am curios what parts store you went to. i have 2 customers i have to tell stories about. one guy came in from another parts store and said they told him, "manufacture companies quit making V-belts for a land cruiser". another guy came in with a dvd player charging cord looking for a "special" fuse, and said he went to all the other parts stores in town and we were his last chance. i pulled the fuse out and told him no problem, AS I UNROLLED THE GUM WRAPPER FROM THE FUSE, and nobody else knew what it was lol.
