Default what tires for my XJ?!?

hey i am recently away with my jeep at college and i am going home for thanksgiving break to get new tires. i trail a bit out here in dekalb since its all land and farms. also a few trails back home. i need a good tire choice for my XJ. its only lifted 1.5 inches and sits on the stock rims. Does anyone know any good tires that would give me amazing traction and sit better? i want a tire that would fill out the fenders more and possibly wider too. if anyone has any advice or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!!!!
-THANKS

i have procomp 30x9.50 on the stock rims and i have nothing to complain about with them. i have a 3in lift so it doest fill the fender well as much as i'd like but it should be great on a stock jeep. i think you can fit 31x10.50 with minimal or no trimming

with the amount of lift you could do either 235/75 or 30x9.50,31 are a little tall without some trimming

I just ordered a set of firestone destination AT's . Read a LOT of reviews and those kept coming up with good scores. I ordered 30x9.5x15s.

I've been reading a TON of tire reviews for a month now, and I'm going to be purchasing a set of General Grabber AT2 tires soon.

I've heard nothing but great things about them, for what it's worth.

Those Cooper Discoverer STT's do look pretty sweet, though.

(1)Have these tires. I do wheel with them to. Are getting great miles on them so far.

same tread! i have them. the only difference is sidewall pattern. when i bought them, the tire store sold them side to side. also, price difference. when i bought mine, there was a big price difference for the General's over the BFG's. thats why i bought the general's.
