Oops. Guess the old sidewalls finally gave up when I rammed that ice.

No biggie, had the factory full-size spare with original Wrangler tire on it. It's never even been mounted before, was in mint shape. I almost feel bad.

Uh except I left it outside. Lol

lol... did it crumble to pieces under the weight of your Jeep? Good gawd that tire has to be at least what, 15 years old?

No idea how old the original Goodyear Ultra Grips are, I can only tell you that they were on it the winter before when I bought it for parts in 2013 and they never held air. Sat flat on them for a few years under my watch. They're pretty dryrotted lol. This past week has seen a melt plus a freeze, so all of the walls of the ruts of my trails turned from packed snow into ice. Suffice to say sidewalls no likey

As for the full size spare, yeah, brand new since 2001. It was in the back of the XJ under the little carpet cover until I pulled it out two years ago. It still smells good!

I started working on it after a 4 months sitting in the garage. I never did body work before and I'm trying to replace the floors, inner and outer rocker panels. If anyone wants to volunteer to help me mess it up, come on over. I'll buy the beer and pizza.

This is what I got done so far. Drilling out spot welds are a pain. Is there an easy way to get the seam sealer off?
