I've done the harness already and it was noticeably brighter. i haven't looked to close but IIRC the current bulbs say Sylvania H4 Sealed beam...I think. High beams aren't too bad(still nowhere near as far throwing as the MK) but the low beams are pretty bad at 55+mph.

I'm running a Putco harness with Sylvania Silverstar sealed beams. They are BRIGHT. Low beam pattern includes a narrow beam that extends from one side of a single lane road to the other side. GOOD for avoiding deer. Some will say they don't last long but I've had mine for at least 2yrs. Just put 400mi on my xj in the national forest during hunting season. A lot on forest service "roads". Still if they burn out I may switch to E-Codes.

Nope.

Coming from the fan hub bearing instead. Ironic thing is, that's a cheaper part than the fan pulley. Gonna be a PITA to replace it though. Stupid thing is pressed in to the alternator bracket. I JUST had that out a couple months ago. Wish it would've been squeekin' then!

Also finally decided on a header in lieu of attempting to repair the OEM manifold with sketchy welders (person) and sketchy welders (machine). Already have new installation hardware and a fel-pro gasket... also have a flex coupling that I'll be putting in as well so I don't have to worry about it cracking again (hopefully).Thought it was a '92...Heck yeah! Best upgrade ever is that harness!
Nope, title says 94.

Cool thanks! I'll figure out what I got and see if these would be worth getting. Appreciate any/all suggestions!

I actually didn't know that was a thing. I guess in my defense I'm trading the impreza this week for cash and older truck, pretty sure the vape crowd doesn't have any interest in a 1985 gmc c20 diesel. Or maybe they do, I don't know.

I would honestly pull that c20's 6.2 and drop it off a cliff before owning one. They're terrible. Let me know when you need a PMD. Don't get me wrong, a corporate body GM is awesome, but Unless you plan on swapping a cummins in or some other BETTER engine, Keep the impreza and find a better deal. Unless you're into severely underpowered diesels than you go right on ahead and do your thing lol

Well last night we got like a foot of snow, so I decided it would be fun to take the "shortcut" home. Was perfectly fine until I slid into a swamp trying to avoid an oversized icy puddle...funny thing is the wifey's MK got dirtier than my XJ when she came to the rescue...

Meh.... I'd drive it. My Uncle has an '85 w/ the 6.2 Diesel. Thing runs and drives like a dream.

Replaced the front yoke with a ubolt style yoke. Decreased the vibes even more but still something going on. Driving it to Kentucky tomorrow so no more time to try and figure it out. Hopefully between all the other new parts I have for it something may fix it. Not sure what else to try.

Have one, it's way better and I love it. Never liked that black jeep, never planned to keep it.

Different strokes for different folks, evidently.

i've known this truck for about 5 years. It runs great and pulls great (yes, it's slow, doesn't bother me in the slightest). I'm getting enough cash to make it worth it, probably even to the 6.2l haters.

That's the whole thing right there... it's worthless to the hop-up crowd. But if you just want a plain-old tow pig with some longevity to it, that old 6.2 NA does just fine.
