I rarely cheap out on things like this, and $20 for 4 is cheap enough any how. They look like they would lay down nice and even with the carpet so they wouldn't get caught on anything when not in use.

Installed a new Thrush muffler since the original amounted to a pile of rusted confetti.

New header, injectors, throttle body spacer arrived in the mail also. Ill have those on within the month. Debating on whether or not to replace the four O2 sensors since Ill have easy access with the intake and exhaust off. They dont trip any codes but Ive read they can still function albeit diminished without setting off a CEL. And seeing as my Jeep is pulling ~10mpgs in the city bone stock besides my new muffler, Im leaning towards a yes!

pulled the jeep in my new garage and started tearing down the front axle for the wj knuckle swap.

got the stock brakes/ steering/axle shafts all pulled and got the new fsj pitman arm installed will hopefully have it mostly together tommoro night.

Yeah to work I'd have to think about a way to form the hole. Stamping them with a press like when a pickup bed is formed would be ideal. Could also be an issue with proximity to the frame. Than there's the carpet thickness issue. It was just an idea.

Something like that would work well. Easy to put in. Bolt down with the biggest fender washer I can find below that will fit. Easy to do... So long as the fuel tank isn't in the way.

Any of you guys run a glass pack with a turndown right of of it?

Thinking about running 2 short glass packs off the cat using a y pipe, and then running turn downs right off those. My current muffler doesn't have the bark I'm looking for, it's just too bassy for my taste. Current muffler is similar to a flowmaster 40

might as well save your money and run no muffler at that point. They don't do much, at least from the trucks and such I've heard with them.

I'm just going to do it since they are cheap at Napa. My jeep sounds obnoxious and has for a long time, but I don't drive obnoxiously. Might just go with 1

Got my new control arms bolted up and moved the new axle into place and got buttoned up. Just waiting for the last final parts to arrive to finish it up.

I stopped at NAPA to price a few things and while I was there I checked out what they had for tie downs. $4 for ones like the ones in the video I posted, with a 1000 pound capacity. They could actually be the same ones, they just didn't list the maker. They will be in tomorrow, yes I am that weak Also started making plans for a new water pump, valve cover gasket, and transmission cooler. Fingers crossed that the cooler will be the fix to the leaking line I have. It only leaks when it is really cold out so I think it is just where i patched the line I kinked when I was doing the transmission work. It is still too cold to fix it right now, so I will just keep checking and adding fluid as needed till the temps get into the 40s.

Mine has that. The PO called it a cherry bomb. Basically a 2+ foot long 3-4" tube after the cat and a turn down...I'm not a fan of it. The dash and everything rattles at cruising RPMs and it's almost silent above 3k RPM.

I don't think the inline 6 will really ever sound "good" at least not like a V8 ZJ...
