First owner ran it with the 0331 head cracked. I bought it, changed the head and slapped in some bearings. They bought me 80,000 miles. That's how. NOW, I will rebuild and move on. I probably have more miles on crappy vehicles than most......

Just ordered a set of TW Guard Dogs with kedge grip in 31s. Pretty excited to get some new shoes. Still snow and ice in the gravel driveway to actually work on it ><

Umm, that's not snow, that is only a heavy frost Right now on average I have 3 feet of snow in the yard, some of the drifts are over 5' high and the bank from clearing the driveway is almost too high for the snow blower to throw the snow over It has been a long time since we have gotten this much snow. Right now driving off road is a distant dream

We had a storm out here in Cali recently, where the Riverside/San Berdoo areas got quite a bit of snow, a rare occurrence...They had a story on the news of a group of offroaders (3 XJ's and a Sammie) were helping people up a small hill, that was crippling everyone. It was WAY COOL to see the offroad community out there helping the regular folk. They had an XJ (and Sammie, LOL) "bucket brigade" where one guy was unhooking cars at the top, one was towing up, another at the bottom hooking people up, while the other guy was driving back down to help the next person in line. Gotta think that changed a lot of people's minds about the off road community.

Drove it 100 mile round trip in the ice/sleet storm to get another tcase for my YJ.
Made it fine, until I got to the last red light before my home..
I lost my brakes, a front brake line burst, but made it home.

Pulled the front and rear axles and the transfer case. Trimmed the fenders some. Pulled some more interior panels out for paint.
