Bought a used aussie locker the other day, so while I'm waiting on shipping I messaged Aussie to see about getting a sticker. They responded very nicely asking for my address to send me a couple

Did the first real work on my 98 today lifted the front 3" so now it sits more less level Through it all I only had one thing break, the PS sway link. It was coming along nicely, everything was loose, then I saw the top of it start to twist. It broke a 1/4 turn later, but the bushing were worn out and I was going to buy new links anyhow.
I finished up for the night too late so no pictures I still have to toque everything down and relocate the track bar or order an adjustable one. Tomorrow, weather permitting I will be starting on replacing the rear shocks. I was lucky on the front with no broken bolts so I will be spraying a lot of penetrating oil tomorrow before I even try turning a wrench.

Just got done with the transmission mount.
Working myself up to being brave enough to take it out for a drive, in case I somehow botched something horribly.
Newbie fears. I'll get over it.

Oh man. I would be even worse about a car like that. Those are all...performance and vroom-vroom.
My first non-oilchange type repair on any vehicle was in February [thanks to you guys here], so everything is new and slightly scary.

We're happy to help. I started the same way as you, and now I spend half my free time answering questions on here

My jeep is my first vehicle and over the last four years this site has helped me work on all the repairs and changes to my jeep from battery terminals to lifts.

It was my dream car back in 92 and I found this one for a song last year so I bought it I always liked Cherokees too hence the reason I have my purple one. I hope to have it ready for the road before I have to park the Stealth for the winter

Got to drive a '93 Stealth R/T once. My buddy had just finished overhauling the car for a customer and let me drive it. He said he'll never touch one again, but the twin turbo, four wheel steering, active aero, etc is amazing when it all works.
As for me, I scored a deal today on an 80k mile 4.0L for $300. If I'm lucky, the YJ will be on the road by Monday

It is R/T not G/T Mine isn't the twin turbo AWD, but it is a R/T, picked it up for $500, only paid $400 for my XJ
This is what the Stealth looked like when I got it
I haven't done anything to the body yet, all the work has been mechanical. I did put new rims and tires on it though, just haven't had time to take any pictures of it lately
The XJ looked like this the day I brought it home
After I started stripping off the flares and such to see just how bad the rust was. Frame was good, and the floors are really good so it is all external work.
I am more less ready to start cutting out the rust and welding in the new panels, just need enough rain free days in a row to get it all done at my slow pace
