Looks more like a new 3" kit to me. Maybe it's the mud flap inserts you have that get in the way

It was entirely impractical, even as a LCOG. I couldn't steer until I put the 3" lift on, but that's when everyone said you couldn't do 3" and 33s. Now it's common.

I'm not disagreeing with your post. Just saying popular opinions change pretty quickly once an 'out there' mod becomes popular. Just takes one person to figure it out.

Fender trimming or bumpstops. Lift doesn't make bigger tires fit in the same size wheel well.

I intend on running 35" with a 3.5" lift, front is easy since you can trim for days, the back however will require a bit more effort to get it to function without rubbing.

Not so fruitful on that front. Wasn't impressed with any of the places I went to. Wanted too much for anything name brand and waaaaay too much for some generic *** tires.

Bought some Prestone flush cleaner stuff for tomorrow.

Ok you Rock Crawlers, take those rigs just pictured, and run them down a rutted beach at 40mph, then hit jumps every 100'. What's going to happen? lol

The main reason I lifted only, is that jeep was so clean when I got it that I did not want to cut it up. And I did not know about flat flares at the time, I think they were not out yet. Add a fair amount of ignorance to the equation (my first build) and that's my XJ.

Considering I used to wheel on sand assitique island in md. I can say my XJ handled it fine on 3" and 31's. He'll it handles rock crawling and hauling *** through the desert at 50-65mph just fine on 3.5" on 35's A few months back I jumped it on a step up jump and had the rear tires about 5' off the ground and fronts closer to 8' off the ground landing on hard packed dirt not soft sand.

Replaced all four valve stem cores. They began to stick from airing down so much. Mechanic friend says the devise I use is what wears them out.
