Just like grease. When you heat it up, it flows into the cracks and crevices. Old trick.

I used a couple more words to describe it in my build thread but that is the gist of it. Once the wax cools and hardens up a bit, wonderful things happen to stuck bolts.

I love old tricks like that. I'll have to give that a try some time.

After the nasty, weeks-doing rear bumper project on the '96 Sport, changed oil, oil filter, air filter replaced a marker bulb, added some fuel system cleaner, washed, waxed and headed out confidently with new rear bumper and passed IL emissions test.

Looking and running fantastic, with 102,500 on the clock.

Ya-freaking-hoo!

'Celebrated by buying a new $100+ 2016-2017 registration sticker for the license plate.

Now to ponder on those "droop bubbles" on the inside fabric head liner.

Is there an easy repair without taking the inside roof apart?

Jeep on.

I replaced my rear shocks. All 4 top bolts sheared right off.
I used the air hammer trick and it worked like a charm. Popped each right out, then fished new bolts in.

Put the battery charger on it. Still trying to figure out the cause of the noise in the drive train since my TC overhaul. I crawled under it and to my eye it looks like when I put everything back together with the new TC drop that I( may have shifted everything over about 1/2" to the PS from center. Unless that is the way they are suppose to be, I never noticed before

Picked up a 231 for $40 off Craigslist. Gonna crack it open and learn how this stuff works. Hopefully it's in good shape and I can put an SYE on it and swap it out for the stocker.
