That happened on mine with the tach and the printed circuit for a couple of the lights... I think I took parts from three different clusters to build mine. Junkyard parts... what are you gonna do, right?

I was able to test the sender by plugging in the old cluster and starting it up. The TEMP light would glow brighter and brighter as the engine warmed up.

Tightened up the belt. No more one second squeal on startup or non stop squeal When running the a/c.
Changed the oil with delo 400 le 15w-40 again. XJ loves it.

No, I don't lick fish.
Thanks guys! It really pops under the hood, that's for sure. For anyone wanting to know, the Rustoleum color is called Cherry Gloss. It stays tacky for a really long time and it brings new meaning to "watching paint dry" waiting for it to be dry enough to work with the part. I actually boogered it up on one corner because I didn't allow it to cure... but it's the only valve cover I have and I needed it back on the same day. C'es la vis.
But anyway, it dries to a really nice high glossy finish. The track bar turned out great! I might go ahead and throw another coat on that for good measure.
I used a smart pen
