My wife's 88. Does that count?

Removed the passenger side rear door panel and refreshed the electrical connectors to the door lock actuator and window motor. Lubed all the lock/latch mechanism inside the door. Now it unlocks every time.

Driver's door panel removed. Same procedure. Also updated my previous fix on the cracked inner door sheet metal to eliminate an annoying rattle.

Complete greasing and fluid check along with tires.

And, I finally eliminated the C101 !!!

You know the sayings about how the carpenter's roof leaks and the shoemaker's kids go barefoot?

How do you get the door panel off over the door latch assembly ???

I suppose you have to pull a pin to disconnect the door latch ... I wasn't brave enough to do that a few weeks back when I replaced the door check, so I just worked around the dangling panel.

this past sunday i painted my wheels.

picked these up about a month ago and have been wanting to repaint them.. the factory paint was peeling in spots and would have annoyed me.

Before:

had a friend sand blast them and coat them with some epoxy primer.

then i went to Till paint and bought a 2000 jeep wheel color in polyurethane paint. its nice that they can put it in spray cans for ya...

all in all they turned out pretty nice. should be pretty durable too. one run that was in the primer but you can't really notice it and some dirt because of painting them outside but they look 100% better then they did and i'm happy with the finish.. hopefully get the new tires mounted this week.
