Found a few small rust spots on my 'rust-free' 96. Driver side floor pan. Likely from the previous owner because I keep it in the garage.
Windshield leaks a bit and runs down A-pillar. Will use an elastomer adhesive/filler to fix it.
I ground down the tiny rust spots, primed then coated with asphalt based undercoating. Using bed-liner could make it worse by allowing any rust to fester underneath the coating.

Also if you sand down the rust shouldn't bed-liner be fine on floor?
