Default Weird window issue

So it got warm today, and like I always have, rolled my windows down....well about halfway down my drivers side window got stuck and took forever to roll back up (didn't think it would!). None of the other Windows did this...which has me dumbfounded...the pic is when it got stuck and was delayed in going back up.

It's a 99 XJ Sport

Had similar happen with my xj at around 320k miles. Window would randomly stop working mostly half way. Banging the door panel near where the motor is allowed it to work again but only temporarily.

Had one heck of a time finding a 2 door regulator. Nobody including NAPA, Mopar, Autozone, etc. had xj 2 door regulators. Tried 'em all.
Had to buy a used one on line.
The post mortem on the old regulator revealed the motor brushes were worn. They were worn so thin they were on the edge of working and not working which is why banging on the door panel got it to work.

All it needed was a motor which NAPA did have.

There's a remote possibility, one of the regulator nuts is loose causing a bind. One of mine was finger loose.

You're just gonna have to remove the panel or get it professionally looked at.

Silicone based spray worked for me... emphasis on "silicone based". My rail was getting stuck.

It also helped speed it up during the winter months.
