2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport

As I write this it looks like we have fixed the last oily leak on our Jeep - but the carport floor - which is white cement with embedded stones - has some serious stains. Any advice on getting it cleaned up ? I have a pressure washer but that did nothing by itself. Thanks.

Thanks but that wouldn't fit. We need a chemical solution of some sort.

If it's that bad I would just replace the carpet. A little green machine with carpet cleaner should do a good job of cleaning.

This is an outside covered carport. There is no carpet. Picture a concrete slab with ornamental 1 inch diameter 'pebbles' embedded. The stains are only where the center-line of the Jeep has been over the years.

I might ask at the service desk at an ACE hardware, or the like. You can't be the first person with oil stains in cement! Aresol Kemtool, or maybe cheap starting fluid might desolve it and blast it up. Then dab with a dry rag.

Muratic acid will actually "eat" some cement. We use it when grout get's up on red-brick, for instance.

Also dish soap scrubbed in and boiling water worked for me when my brother-in-law's piece of .... dumped on my driveway but I got that right away.
Oil Eater has also worked for me in the past.

I'd throw down some cat litter or similar. You want to absorb all that you can out of the concrete. Let it sit a few days the. Work on the stain. With time it will fade on its own. There has to be a chemical that would eat the oil. That's about as far as my expertise will carry this....

Go to a rental store and rent a Steam Pressure Washer. I own one a large John Deere model with a 20 gal tank runs on diesel and electric. Have used it now since 1999 on my Farm Tractors and race cars and yeah oil/grease on floors even paint. They work very well and depending on make/size quickly.

oil eater and tsp should clean it off,Once you get it clean you might want to look in to some kinda sealer so next time it don't get stained up.
