You could probably talk him down off of 5995, it is a nice jeep, has the roof rack and new seats, but I would try to talk him down.

Buying from a dealer also sucks because you can't so the trick I like to use. If I'm going to look at a car, ill being $500-$1000 less in cash than the asking price, and offer it take it or leave it. Most people's eyes light up at the sight of green cash money in front of them, so I usually get a good deal haha

That gold one you found is pretty nice. Dealers expect to be talked down, that's why their prices are high. I'm sure you could knock $1000 off the asking price and still get it.

All I have to say is that for $6k you could buy a pretty bad *** already lifted xj or maybe even a semi decent CJ (Older wrangler). But if you want an xj than I understand aha.

Oh I am not going to spend that kind of money, just saying that is what I am finding. I have a 05 CTS that is paid off and is doing just fine, so there is no rush.

And I do want an XJ but I have seen a handful of Grand Cherokees that were priced right and low mileage that I wouldn't kick out of bed when the day comes and I have cash in hand. Not my 1st choice, but definitely 2nd choice.

Crap, sat in a 99 XJ today at a dealer close to my house. I am a big guy, 6'4 ad I had 1/4" of headroom with the seat in a normal reclined position. Getting in I was like oh jesus help me.

I have been scouring the net for solutions, fixes, ideas and keep seeing same thing about a WJ seat swap or try to find one with power seats. Apparently those go a lot lower?

I may have to step up into a WJ.

There is one in my town that is almost exactly like the pic one but it has 116k miles and a small lift on it. They want 6700. Apparently TN sucks as far as jeep prices go.
Stuey1975": Check this site out, it's a surplus govt auction but you can find some good deals there, may have to travel a little, but may be worth it. Govedeals.com You can find about anything and everything on there, some deals , some junk. I've gotten a few vehicles there and did good with them. Lots of luck!!
