Cheap$200Jeep

...to your local Wrecking Yards.

I started about a month ago while looking for an ECU to get me running. Thanks to the Clunker Program, there are all kinds of rigs available right now. They tell me that they only have six months to part them out and then they have to crush them. (if that's just a sales pitch, I don't mind!) I have been going at least twice a week and everytime, I find somthing in addition to, or instead of, what I realy went back to get... Thank god I don't have more money or time, I'm allready cutting into the budget for my real project truck...

I am just sorry to think that this program is going to put a real hurt on used parts that are available in the near future...

what do you mean a real hurt on used parts? The local Junk yard has like 10 jeeps and then I have a place that deals with parts in jeep and dodge

Cheap$200Jeep

One of the four junk yards here got 40 Jeeps in because of the clunker program. If the six month thing is true this is gonna make things harder in the future! Even if the six month time limit is false, I would think that the program has to have had a pretty good effect on thinning out what's on the road...

depending on what year xj you have, a good little cheap thing to pick up would be the door seal/trim from a newer xj.
