I don't for the life of me know why everybody hates Thornbirds. I ran them for 2 years with minimal problems. Sure they are loud as hell on the road, sure they aren't built for "slick" pavement, and hell just because a 33x12.5 actually measures to 33.5x14.5 doesn't make them awful tires. If you plan on putting them on a trail rig they are fantastic.
But then again I still wouldn't do that trade.

I've yet to find anything the thornturds are good for except to become drag slicks in mud. If you groove the crap out them they are almost ok unless you ride anything but dirt and mud.
