hahah I'll pay the extra $300 to not have to take apart my front end again and deal with all it's ****. I've done that too many times.

I'm running 33s on stock 8.25 and d30 and I'm going I have about $1500 to spend on my jeep soon. It will be driven about 10 miles daily and highway every other month. My options are looking like spend all the money on 4.56 gears or getting long arms and maybe a few other goodies for $1000 and saving money. What would y'all do?
I would skip on the re-gear unless you are planning for larger tires.
Goodies? Sound like a plan!
Winch
rims
tires
racks
bumpers
armor
stereo
Tons of goodies!
That is probably what I would do if I were in your shoes.

Skip regear?!? That's the stupidest thing I've heard! Not only does running stock gears on 33's really put a strain on your transmission, deeper gears help while crawling, also the gas mileage sucks!

gears are a must, especially if you live near any sort of incline. gears were one of the first things i did to my rig. for a while i ran 4.10s on 235/75s and it was very fun, thats when i got the best mpg too. now im on 33s and its alright, but downshifting is a must on almost any incline. Gears will not only increase your mpg but also lower your crawl ratio and help your transmission last longer, and of course the obvious bring your rpms back to where they should be. I would recommend gearing deep at like 4.88, you wont be disappointed.

Only ^this guy would put a stereo as a priority over gears...
OP, 33's, or 31's for that matter, put a huge strain on everything. Especially the transmission.
Go for the gears. You won't be disappointed.

Alright well looks like regearing will be the right move in the long run, now I just have to find the most cost effective option and someone to do it haha.

At the least, thank you for providing entertainment.
I wish there was a way to prevent you from continuously trying to debunk proven facts and confusing the crap out of people that don't know any better.
Next thing we know you'll be telling people to run 2 leaf springs from the OEM leaf pack and drill holes in them to improve flecks.

My advice comes from having a daily driver that gets wheeled all the time pretty hard. The man asked for our opinions.
He does not drive the jeep much at all, he doesn't wheel much at all. And when he does its easy wheeling.
Next you will be telling the man to 4 link with long arms!
That is what you get with internet wheelers like yourself.
If he ends up getting gears fine. But for a light duty wheeler that is not driven much at all. My suggestion is to spend his money on other things.

remember the time you said "lockers aren't necessary" but then you got a locker and then decided "well lockers are pretty sweet actually." in fact you liked it so much that you got another one for the rear. actually you welded it. you daily drive a welded rear but god forbid gears go into it.
not everybody likes to build their jeep with $20 and a welder. and those that do seem to do a much better job than you
