Totally agree with all of these. Definitely a CB radio too. Hate the feeling of going over a hill after your buddies and seeing 3 different ways to go on the trail and not knowing which way they went.

An assortment of ratchet straps are nice to have, I've seen more than one rig get off the trail after breaking stuff with the help of them.

tell us what kind of trail you'll be going on becuase a "trail" isnt the same there as it is here in the desert so the things needed will be different.

But for starters this is what i bring for a little day trip

Ducttape
highlift
jack stands
chain (for moving stuff *NOT RECOVERY)
2 recovery straps
leather gloves
water
food
come along
tree saver
spare shackles
reciever shackle
tools
first aid kit
maps
2 gps's

Theres a good list if your doing some mild trail riding without to many obsticals. It couldnt hurt to bring a shovel to along with a change of clothes just in case you get drenched or super muddy
