Here's some real numbers-
Some trends that I have noticed-
Stock 4.0L- 135rwhp/160-165rwtq (crank 190HP/225TQ)
4.0L+'All the bolt on's' +15rwhp/+15rwtq to 150rwhp/175rwtq (crank 210HP/240TQ)
4.6L Stroker- displacement+CR(+15%)+cam(+8%)+head work(+7%)--195rwhp/245rwtq (crank 260HP/ 328TQ)
5.0L Stroker- (+10% over 4.6L) 208rwhp/280rwtq
4.0L+BOOST 6pounds- 210rwhp/265-275rwtq (crank 300HP/375TQ)
Stroker4.6L+?BOOST 4pounds +25%--->244rwhp/306rwtq(estimate) 325HP/410TQ(crank estimate)
Stroker4.6L+?BOOST 6pounds +37%--->267rwhp/335rwtq(estimate) 355HP/450TQ(crank estimate)
Dynojet reads 10% HIGHER than Mustang Dyno.

Budget and performance don't belong in the same sentence.

Bolt on's: more air in, more air out with enough fuel to keep up and a strong spark to burn it.
-true cold air intake (not a cone filter next to the exhaust)
-bored throttle body (larger butterfly valve)
-free flowing headers
-mandrel bend downpipe
-free flowing cat
-free flowing muffler-
-mandrel bent tailpipe
-4 hole injectors
-upgraded ignition to allow larger spark plug gap
So after all that you're like $1500 into upgrades for maybe 15hp. It's not worth it.
Do a stroker or v8 swap.

True that's a good point. i was thinking maybe a intske and a throttle bodie and a spacer maybe some headers. And injectors thays it not much just a little more juice ya know.thanks for the info xjlimited

Do not talk of cat removal on this site please. It is against federal law and against the rules here. I have edited your post to reflect that.

If I might suggest a complete tune-up everything replaced after you have checked for any codes, if you have any fix those first. Then start with all new fluids from the radiator (get a new one and water pump), drain and replace differentials, trans, transfer case with new fluids. The oil and filter are a given and check and fix any oil leaks. This is where to start to gain a few HP and MPG.
Once you finish all of these then come back and we can help you with a few more but these should come first.
BTW forget about a spacer they are worthless and gain nothing.

was this directed towards me? I understand that rule and why it's in place. Had no intention of recommending removing emissions equiptment.
Edit: never mind, I see now that it wasn't.
