I have power bars and dehydrated meals. I'm guessing you didn't read my first post where I mentioned the snare wire and fishing tackle.

That can of dip is empty, that's where I store the hooks and other fishing stuff

Your biggest hurdle will be water, perhaps some SS containers since the heat is a factor. And in the desert you'll need up to 2 gallons per person per day.

So if you break down and have a 3 day walk out you'd need screwed, water is very heavy. If you rested during the day and moved at night you could probably cut that number down by a 1/3.

Food really shouldn't be a priority, in fact if you end slightly dehydrated you shouldn't eat at all since it requires water to process food. Which would lead to further dehydration.

If I was desert wheeling my priorities would be water and methods to keep the sun off of me, it might sound silly but an umbrella can save your life in the desert.

Food is great, but you can go upwards of a month without it.

Water is essential. If you're stranded in the desert, don't worry about chemicals released from plastic into your drinking water. The cancer won't get you for years if it ever does, dehydration will kill you in a week.
