New too me 1998 Sport
Few questions. I've searched high and low for answers and haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. Many different opinions. This is my first Cherokee and I love it. I'm looking at a 3 inch lift. I don't do anything crazy. Just want some more height and light off road use. I'm looking at the zone 3 inch kit with full leaf springs. Any opinions? Also will I need longer brake lines? Also looking at general grabber at2 in 31in.

If you don't want to do anything crazy that's a perfect starter kit. I'm sure you'll want to experiment more in the future though.
You won't need longer brake lines at that height. I was running a 6.5 inch lift with stock lines and relocation brackets for the longest time and just upgraded to extended ones with the intention of long arms.
Full leafs = good choice.
Zone is a subsidiary of BDS Suspension, which is a good company. I'd say Zone is probably better than Rough Country, but with similar prices.
Throw all that on, and when your tires get bigger, just replace your speedometer gear so that your speedometer is correct (it's like $30).
As for the tire choice, those look kind of like street tires. Check out Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. They're an excellent hybrid between road and off-road tires for the money. I would recommend some wheels with 3.75 inch backspacing. Cragar has nice affordable steel wheels to get you there.

Before you buy that kit look at the Rustys 3" full leaf/coil package it has better quality leafs and coils all made in NA not China. Has excellent ride quality on/off road full kit $438 only thing else needed is an adj. track bar. The kit gives you a choice of coil spring weights considering if you plan on a winch/bumper or not. They are the only company that does this also.
Mine has held up with zero sag over 4 yrs now and it was the base for my current 4 1/2" lift also.
