2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 6cyl
Will sometimes just konk out in the middle of driving on the freeway. not good!
Pull over, wait a few minutes then resart and drive like nothing happen. really weird!
Codes I pulled up.


P0320
No Crank Reference Signal at PCM
No reference signal (crankshaft position sensor) detected during engine cranking.
P0325
Knock Sensor 1 Circuit (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)
Knock sensor (# 1) signal above or below minimum acceptable threshold voltage at particular engine speeds.

So would that basically just be it? Just change out a Knock Sensor?

The knock sensor will not cause the engine to die, but the CRANK SENSOR will. You have two crank sensor codes staring you right in the face, I think you should start there.

0325 is a knock sensor code, no?

Anyways, I'll just replace both.

Need to find a decent youtube vid on how to do it though.

Check the wiring to both sensors before you replace them. Shorted or broken wires will cause codes to appear too, not just bad sensors. My opinion is that the crank sensor is bad, they deal with a lot of heat and eventually crap out.

Double thumbs up on checking the wiring. I've recently dealt with multiple Chrysler vehicles built between 1996 & 2001 that had wiring issues that presented as crank sensor codes.
