Damn, such a shame to see a great road trip cut down so early. I hope the graduation goes well and you can get things sorted with the heep.

Best rated mechanic in town and at a nice shop, but i didnt have a choice to argue with the mechanic as I didnt know wtf was going on lol if i had more time to research and dink around maybe i couldve figured it out
Agreed. The heep is being dropped at my good friends shop who works on jeeps every day. Heading out to find a lease monday. Kind of excited for the jeep to be a side whip now so i can just hobby it up instead of cross my fingers every time i need to get somewhere

Two months ago I drove from Chicago to LA and back to Chicago. Spend about two weeks out in the road driving my 2001 jeep XJ. Spend under $1,500 in total with me and my girl friend. Went to the Rocky Mountains, moab,Grand Canyon,Disneyland and a few more places. Had no break downs with the XJ. Not even a flat tire. Nada. I got lucky I guess. We spend one day sleeping on a rest stop. And every other day we spend it at a hotel to shower

Pic of how everything was situated on top of my roof
Heep was sitting heavy on the rear due to my life being packed into the trunk. Any bumps were heard lol I need to get new bumpstops
First state to pass through was Nevada, which was literally nothing
Stayed in Winnemucca the first night (for all you Johnny Cash fans). Our place had a casino in it, but the people in there made me far too sad to play anything.
We were definitely living!
Unfortunately the fuzz caught on to us for speeding, but let us off with a warning
Next came Utah, another unbelievably flat place
We left our mark though!
Food in Salt Lake City was pretty great
And they had a bunch of buildings with my name on them!
Idaho was more scenic than I thought it'd be!
Made a couple pit stops while driving through
Then came my most and least favorite part, Montana!
We did get to see Jellystone before heading home, but at this point we were in a Ford Fiesta lol
That's about as far as we go! My jeep liked it so much in Montana he decided to stay there and see the sights before catching a truck home.
Dang! thread didnt even make it to page two lol oh well
