Infinity tweeter pods
Hey everyone, I know this is my first post even though I've been a lurker of these forum for years, just never got around to joining. I picked up an XJ today with the infinity sound system in it and wondering how hard are these pods are to come by? and what's the value on these?

Really rare. I have never come across a pair in the junkyard.
Seen them sell for $50-$100
I sold a set without the tweeters but with the tweeter holes for $25
eBay I have seen $100 plus asking prices.

Rare? Dang I need to sell mine then. When I bought my jeep someone took the factory infinity speakers out and replaced them with Pioneer junk. Sadly they did a hack job and cut the wiring on the front speakers so the tweeters never worked. So after rewiring I have a factory amp under the rear seat that only runs the rear speakers.

if you're still planning on selling your pair or if anyone else is looking at this forum, i'm planning on doing work on both of my doors this summer and figured it time to replace the factory main speakers. I did some wire work last summer and noticed it seems all xj's at least came with the plugs and prep for the tweeters, even if not plugged in. So with the bump up in audio i thought "why not go full system? I'm also looking into sub boxes, the XJ specific, so I don't lose much luggage space. So again, if anyone's still selling, as of the making of this message, I am certainly interested!

All Limited models are equipped with them, but on all other models, they're optional... a lot of lower-trim Cherokee buyers didn't spec their XJ's with the Infinity sound option (which was also coupled with an A/M-F/M-Cassette-CD radio, the RAZ sales code radio), and many just chose a basic A/M-F/M-Cassette (RAS) radio with the four-speaker sound system with speakers in the front doors and rear headliner. I'd say it's a rare option.
On another note, the A/M-F/M only (RAL) radio and two-speaker sound system (speakers ONLY in the front doors), was discontinued after 2000, and the aforementioned four-speaker sound system came standard on all Cherokees (except for the top-of-the-line Limited) for 2001. I have a friend who just purchased a 1998 SE and hers has the two-speaker option. Most governmental organizations ordered their XJ's that way since it saved them money (the only options they'd order were the AW-4 4-speed automatic transmission, the 4.0L I6, and A/C, which were necessary options for a governmental organization to have on their vehicles).

All limited models /do not/ come with Infinity Tweeters 94zj318.
I had one. I had to find some at a junk yard to get some. Only Jeeps equipped with the Infinity Sound system, which included Sport models, came with the Infinity Tweeters.
