Default Help...This Is Really Strange

Greetings

I have a 2000 Cherokee Laredo straight 6 cyl. Automatic. For the last couple of month ever so often, I'll turn on my signal light and both dome lights come. Has anyone ever heard of this? Do I have a ghost or gremlins? What could possibly be causing this? My A/C fan is going out. Could they be related? Any advise is appreciated.

Thanks a bunch

Does your Jeep have, or has it had in the past, an aftermarket alarm? Certain alarms are wired to kick on the dome light and flash the exterior lights. The control box for the alarm could be pooping out.

Outside of that, prolly just a pinched wire, which of course means tracing through the harness... fun.

I don't know about the alarm. We have had it over 7 or 8 years and never had an issue til last few months. As long as it is not a safety or is not going to otherwise interfere with the Jeep mechanically....I'm not worried about it. Not willing to start tracing wires...done that before....*whew*

Lol, I hear ya, one of my least favorite things to do. Only thing to keep in mind, if it is a pinched wire, it's eventually going to short, and your gremlins are going to spread like wildfire.

Check the grounds. When goofy stuff starts happening 9 times out of 10 it's a ground problem.
