Grand Cherokee into Cherokee seat swap-confused!

Model: Cherokee
Engine: 4.0 HO
Grand Cherokee into Cherokee seat swap-confused!
I have been reading all these threads on the seat swap and I am a little confused. Which year range Grand Cherokee seats will bolt directly to my 1999 XJ slider? One thread says 99-04. One thread says 94-04. I went to Pull a Part today and none of the 2000-2004 GC's had drivers seats. There were however plenty of seats in the 1994-1998 year Grand Cherokees. Will they bolt onto my sliders?

1994-1998 will fit onto the XJ slider without a problem. I have '94 Grand Cherokee seats in my '99 XJ. Not sure about XJs before 1996, but '97-'01 you can put 1994-1998 GC seats without modifying anything.

93-98 grand cherokee fronts will fit into 95-01 XJ's by simply swapping the rail mounts. 84-94 XJ's have a different floor design and custom brackets are needed to allow for gc seats. 99-04 gc seats can also be used but modification is needed for them to work. The write up link in my sig is for 98 zj seats into a 99 xj (realized the mistake in the write-up after it was already locked).
