A 'tune up' nowadays consists of a set of spark plugs. $3 a piece at any parts store.
You might consider also replacing the plug wires, cap and rotor, your air filter, do an oil and filter change, drain and replace all of the fluids so that you know they are good.
I don't know who the person at that aol email address is, but professional businesses don't work from aol email addresses.

Kolak's tune-up kit consists of:
- MSD coil
- Magnecore KV85 wires
- Cap and rotor with brass contacts
- Autolite platinum plugs (recommended to be gapped to 0.045-0.050")
I requested iridium plugs with mine for specific, technical reasons and gapped them to 0.050". If you'd prefer copper, I'm sure he'd oblige as well.
Details about my XJ can be found at: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f177/...hread-2525690/ I have both a Kolak kit and 5-90 batt cables among many other things.
Ignition parts finally installed today. The old plugs were Autolite platinums that were never properly gapped. Some were over 0.035" while a couple were at like 0.025." Start, idle, and performance are all significantly better now.
Powered by NAPA Legend 8434 battery (1020 CCA @ 32; 850 CCA @ 0)
The MSD coil should push plenty of energy to the plugs through Magnecore wires for spark to jump a 0.050" gap fine (I thought about going to 0.055 but decided to play it safe). The large gap combined with iridium's durability and ability to have such a tiny electrode means that I should have LOTS of room for flame kernel generation (great for power/efficiency) while minimizing how often I'll have to check the gap or replace the plugs. Iridium plugs last a LONG time.
- MSD coil
- Magnecore KV85 spark plug wires
- Autolite XP985 iridium plugs gapped to 0.050"
- Battery cables by Kelly's Work in Progress (aka 5-90)

It is not all that smart sending emails with your personal information to an anonymous @aol.com address provided through a web forum by some random member without any indication of who we are supposed to be talking to on the other end.
It is 2015 and folks haven't figured this out yet?

...and this Crazy 8s can make anything and everything kelleyswip sells on his site, and also put together some type of 'tune up kit' package for folks of all budgets.
All of that stuff would be excellent for a tune up...but more money than most will need to spend.

Kolak is legit. I got my lift through him and a bunch of other parts. I ended up saving about $500 in the end with my lift (not buying packaged shocks with the kits and sourced them elsewhere) He's just an old school guy that hooks up Jeepers through word of mouth with a known go to email everyone remembers. Which ends up being about ~20% off retail pricing. After putting in my order for my lift, he gave me a personal phone call to go over my order and make sure it's everything I want and will work together.
He will package anything together for you. He just put together a few awesome kits. I think he also has an exhaust kit he sells too.
There are some good tune-up kits found on amazon however. They have an OEM one and a accel tune-up kit.

Finally. I can't believe someone who uses any Jeep XJ/ZJ forum doesn't know about Kolak. Hardly an anonymous@aol.com
He sells A LOT more than tune up kits and exhaust. Just email him, and he'll dialog with you. Use a "burner" email acct if you still feel paranoid after seeing the metric $&@#-tons of posts verifying his credibility out there.
If Kolak's stuff isn't of interest, NAPA has everything you need. Belden wires, Champion or NGK copper plugs gapped to 0.035", brass cap/rotor, filters, etc.

You are missing my point. My point was that you offered an email address and didn't tell the newly registered OP what it was for.
I've been active here a few about 6 months and have heard nothing of 'kolak', and anybody can create a sales pack of 'tune up kit' items. Why do I need to contact some dude through an unrecognized aol email address to get find out what stuff I need for a tune up?
I am going to find your email address and just post it as help to anybody who asks any question at all and see how you feel about it...
(I won't actually do the last part...)

Well you won't be able to source the same prices with proven and tested performance kit items. Also this is just the first suggested forum search results with his name from google... Still haven't seen a bad review.
I guess you enjoy retail price
Still the tune up kit is a little much for OP. I still say Amazon or your local auto store will get you sqaured away. Copper plugs, decent quality cap, rotor, and wires should get him pointed in the right direction. It's always a good idea to remove and clean out your throttle body with sensor safe cleaner if you see that it is dirty.

...again, missing the point. I am sharing basic internet safety principles, which some people still don't seem to know even after 20 years of pure internet scumbagginess that exploits those who don't know simple etiquette.
It is NOT good etiquette to share other people's email address in web forums.

It is plenty acceptable to share his email address since that is how he wants customers to contact him. There is no way to recommend Kolak to someone without sharing his email address. I figured that anyone who might be skeptical would simply Google him, see the tremendous amount of posts out there about him and the NUMEROUS times his email address has been shared with others, and realize that he's legit. I wasn't about to write an essay about the guy when a simple search of his name would provide way more information in a much shorter time. You're all fired up about nothing here.
I have a hotmail account that I share with people when appropriate, and I don't mind at all if those people share it with others in need. Usually canine behavior and nutrition consulting, but sometimes Jeep stuff if email is the way to go for someone.
Oh, and to the OP. Now would also be a good time to check your motor and trans mounts and replace if necessary.

I'll admit that the only guys I still thought used AOL email accounts were the Nigerian princes who needed your $100 to unlock access to their inheritance.
Just kidding, even I have heard of the guy, Crazy 8 is just being all Edward Snowden on us.
