I'm upgrading the shafts and re gearing and putting a locker in the front so with that being said do I still need a carrier for the front. Sorry if dumb question first time doing gears

there are some axles with a factory dana 30 carrier that will work. they exist in axles that are factory 3.73+ you can find one at a junk yard. but since you have a 4.0 you will have to contact RWKHaussupply and order a new one for $70.
