Love the new tread pattern. I'll be getting a set in 33-12.50 R15 in a few weeks.
I've had the old STT's in 31, 32 & 33 on my XJ & they are very good in East Tennessee mud and are quiet (for a mud tire) on the street...just keep 'em rotated. I rotate mine with every oil change.

Had a chance to really get them in some rocks this weekend. I did not air down as it was a rather impromptu trip. Running about 25 PSI on boulders and eroded granite. There were a few times they would slip, but once a lug caught an edge, it pulled right up. I had no lateral sliding. at 25 PSI, they would flex enough on a edged rock to mold to it. You can see in the 3rd pic the scuffing where i used the sidewall lugs on that rock just behind it.

ok, It has been 1 month since my last update. I will say these tires dont like solid rock to well. Went on a trail ride with the club where we had to climb up and over some jeep sized boulders. Aired down to 20 PSI, they still fought for traction even on a 80 degree day. I weould relate this to the stiff Armor-Tek sidewall. I was able to get them in some mud however and am quite impressed. The side lugs worked great and she never slid sideways. As i mentioned before, they worked excellent in loose cobbly rock and small boulder fields. I was also able to get them in some sand......These tire love sand despite the stiff sidewall. They didnt dig like crazyand handled really well on fast corners. This i Attribute to the blocky design and amount of lateral lugging.

Still loving mine. By now they're broken in, but they don't look like it or feel like it. such a smooth ride and a wonderful road hum.
Just re-geared axles to 4:56 this week, so my Jeep is running fabulous with these 33x12.50s.

i went on a trip this weekend and there was a guy in a tj with these.
he was open/open diffs, no lift. nothing. just tire.
it look like they were doing great at providing traction. he was trying all the optional lines, some successful, some not. he never got stuck. the new coopers doing work to keep it goin. i cant imagine utilizing these on a built jeep.
looks like my next set of tires.
they look really good in person

I am going to try airing down to 10psi this weekend and really try them, will try to get photos of the flex around rocks and such, I love the armor tek sidewall but i know it hurts the flex.

I just posted a review of these. here
These tires are amazing, so much grip on every surface. They are the perfect dual purpose tire, good on highway for a mud terrain, amazing in snow and even ice, and the best rock crawling tire I've ever run. Some of my friends running purpose built rock tires are even envious (except those guys on stickies)

I'm just curious, did you ever chalk test these to get the proper psi for both front and rear. Only ask because on my 235/85/16 GG, I need to run 23psi in the rear to get a even tread wear. And 27 up front, obviously due to engine weight.

Time to redo it. Early in the morning after the jeeps been rested a few hours, check and start at 25. Then chalk and drive. Sun shouldn't be up yet. Its crazy how uneven the results are during hot days or when the sun is out
